Three-piece steel lever, unbalanced by 9 grams, requiring a participant’s personal artifact, in this case, a worn, custom-made ring to achieve equilibrium. An interactive mechanism that redefines the relationship between object and user through tactile engagement.
When placed, the artifact restores balance, transforming the act into a moment of spiritual and emotional grounding. Untouched, the object remains static; engaged, it becomes a vessel for memory, history, and exchange. The ring, carried daily, returns to the lever at day’s end, closing the cycle and leaving traces of interaction—fingerprints, wear, subtle shifts over time. A continuous process, deepening the dialogue between material, form, and user.
